Shopping in China is SOOO stressful, especially during the National Week. Imagine Christmas shopping at the busiest malls in the USA and times the amount of people by 10. The number of people traveling around the country right now is equivalent to the population of the United States. Yes that is a lot of people but it's even crazier when you imagine that China is just a little bit smaller than the USA. My roommate and I went to adventure to get some warmer clothes because it's starting to get chilly here. We went to a shoe store that turned out to be a show alley and found some shoes we liked, took a while to find our sizes but we did eventually. I found a pear of boots I loved but when she told me how much they were I told her I would think about it. As I was walking away she started trying to bargain with me and I still left. My roomie and I finally made it to H&M where we did some shopping for a while. We both got some sweaters and some cute stuff, though H&M is a tad more expensive here than in the states, depending on what you get. After, we went back to the shoe place where they had to get me yet a bigger size, the told me roommate she had large feet. The orginal price was 380 RNB, $55 USD, but between my roommate Texie and I, we got them down to 220 RNB which is about $35, a lot better of a deal than in the states. We had taken her scooter to go shopping and watching people's looks as two white girls pass by on a scooter is priceless. It's a fun feeling to just drive and fell the wind in your hair.
Overall, today was a successful day. We got our hotel booked for Xi'an, in which we leave tomorrow, some random stuff done, shopping accomplished. It was a good day!
Tomorrow we are taking a 16 hour train ride, wooo. We have hard seats which won't be fun but we will see how it goes.
Update you guys next week!
